Function:

 

  • For the controlled greasing of cylindrical roller bearings in wheelset regeneration workshops
  • Inner bearing diameter of 120 mm and 130 mm
  • Inner bearing rings with diameters of 157 mm, 150 mm and 140.5 mm

  • Stationary greasing unit
  • Jib slewing range of approx. 5 m
  • Controlled and monitored grease quantity
  • Grease supply via pump and dosing unit
  • Component assignment monitored by proximity sensors

Automatic crack inspection system (AURA)

  • Gantry with Z axis unit and components to bear the probe heads and rolling rig with upstream and downstream transport system.

 

Function:

 

  • To assess potential railway wheelset damage through an ultrasonic inspection for cracks, inclusions and other material defects.

 

Technology:

 

  • Stationary inspection system with semi-automatic transport and inspection operation
  • Siemens S7-300 PLC controller
  • Water circuit for coupling. Protective device as required

 

Automatic transport route for ultrasonic rail wheel inspection system

  • Transport route with grooved rail, storage locations as well as transfer and take-over station from the grab and to the testing basin.

 

Function:

 

  • To supply wheels and tyres.

Bogie load test bench (DDP-130-01)

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, city railway depot in Hamburg

Design:

 

  • Test gantry with pressure beam and lifting device with measuring cells.

 

Function:

 

  • To check the bogie weight, fitting dimensions, load conditions of the different bogie types and to check pneumatic springs for leaks.

 

Technology:

 

  • The lifting device moves to the axle dimension (depends on the design), the bogie is raised by the wheel and a predefined force is applied to the bogie via the pressure beam.
  • The individual contact loads are recorded.
  • All data is displayed on a monitor.
  • All data can be stored and printed.
  • The leak test is performed using the connected lines.
  • The test bench is controlled by a Siemens S7 PLC.

 

Assembly and testing system for annular spring assemblies (MPRP-1000-01)

Design:

 

  • Feed system with carriage and test gantry with pressure stamp.

 

Function:

 

  • To assemble different annular spring assemblies and to check the spring characteristics, fitting heights and other parameters. The assemblies are inserted into the different types of drawgear after testing.

 

Technology:

 

  • The annular spring assembly is adjusted and assembled on a carriage which is equipped with adapters for the different diameters. The carriage then moves to the test gantry on rails.
  • The carriage is fixed and the protective doors are closed on both sides. The assembly is now tested. The test force is generated hydraulically.
  • The assembly type has to be entered via the keyboard and appears in the screen on the monitor.
  • The test is carried out automatically after confirmation and the result including evaluation is shown on the monitor.
  • The test system is controlled by a Siemens S7 PLC.

 

Drawgear testing system (PZ-1000-01)

  • Feed system with carriage and test gantry with pressure stamp.

 

Function:

 

  • To test various drawgear for compliance with the specified spring characteristic curve. All drawgear used in Germany can be tested.

 

Technology:

 

  • The drawgear is inserted in a carriage which has an adapter for the different geometries. The carriage is then moved to the test gantry on rails.
  • The carriage is fixed and the protective doors are closed on both sides. The test is then carried out.
  • The test force is generated hydraulically.
  • The drawgear type has to be entered via the keyboard and appears in the screen on the monitor.
  • The test is carried out automatically after confirmation and the result including evaluation is shown on the monitor.
  • The test system is controlled by a Siemens S7 PLC.

 

Bogie mounting stand (DGE-130-01)

Design:

 

  • Gantry with pressure beam and mobile units for wheelsets.

 

Function:

 

  • To mount wheelsets in different types of bogies.

 

Technology:

 

  • Both wheelsets are fixed hydraulically at the respective axle dimensions. A hydraulically generated prestressing force is exerted on the bogie by a pressure beam. Other mounting and adjustment work can also be performed on the bogie.
  • The mounting stand is equipped with a programmable controller including a display.

Test and inspection systems

 

 

In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institut IZFP (Institute for Non-Destructive Testing), TEG (Technology and Development Group) and IMF GmbH (Industrial, Machine and Factory Planning), SOBAtec GmbH supplies automatic ultrasonic crack inspection systems to check wheel disks of rail vehicles for cracks.

 

The systems are purpose-built at the customer's request and tailored to local conditions.

 

One of their great advantages is that different types of wheelsets can be inspected automatically.
