SOBAtec develops and manufactures a number of different protective devices which effectively implement the requirements of general and railway-specific safety and protection regulations in practice, thus ensuring the safe performance of maintenance and repair work in depots.

Locking system

to ensure safe working in the vicinity of live parts

 

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, ICE depots in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg

 

 

 

Design:

 

  • Locking unit in the switchgear cubicle and optional key magazine according to the local needs.

 

Function:

 

  • The unit in the switchgear cubicle is unlocked with the approved earthing key. The key magazine is released simultaneously. The respective keys can then be used to open protected parts of the plant.

 

 

 

Frontal fall protection

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, ICE depot in Munich

 

Stirnseitige Absturzsicherung

 

 

Design:

 

  • Structure for roof working platforms

 

Function:

 

  • To improve labour safety during service and maintenance work in the roof area of traction units.

 

Technology:

 

  • Pivoted aluminium railing
  • Mobile unit which can be moved over 5 m
  • Can be locked in the mobile unit and counterpart
  • Pivoted railing can be extended towards the roof
  • Can be equipped with an electrical and mechanical safety closing system

 

Central pit trolley, design 2000

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, ICE depot in Ulm

Design:

 

  • Frame structure with wheels running on the rail feet between the tracks.

 

Function:

 

  • To carry out service and maintenance work on traction units.

 

Technology:

 

  • Mobile working platform on wheels
  • Brake applied when at rest
  • Covered with bulb plate or grating floor
  • Fall protection by plug-in railing

 

Central pit trolley, design 2004

Location: Deutsche Bahn, Südostbayernbahn Regio Network

 

Stirnseitige Absturzsicherung

 

 

Design:

 

  • Frame structure with wheels running on the rail feet between the tracks.
  • The lateral pit trolley runs on the rail foot and concrete edge.

 

Function:

 

  • To carry out service and maintenance work on traction units.

 

Technology:

 

  • Mobile working platform on wheels
  • Brake applied when at rest
  • Two long levers are inserted in the trolley platform (control from the railway platform) and two levers are below the trolley platform (control from the pit)
  • Fitted with R12 bulb plate or grating floor (R13 on request)
  • Fall protection by railings which can be plugged in on all four sides
