Transfer systems

 

 

SOBAtec GmbH develops and manufactures transfer systems which can be used in railway depots to transport wheelsets or bogies at right angles and parallel to the tracks and bring them into their desired position on the test and handling stands.

Transverse conveyor for driving wheelsets

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, depot in Krefeld

 

 

 

Design:

 

  • Automatic transport carriage in framework design with integrated mechanics and electrics.

 

Function:

 

  • To transport different types and sizes of wheelsets on rails laid transverse to the tracks.
  • To carry and transfer the wheelsets to storages which are integrated in the trackage.

 

Technology:

 

  • Automatic trapping, ejection and locking of the wheelsets in the conveyor and storage
  • Ejection in both directions
  • Running gear with geared motor
  • Power supply via trailing cable
  • Incremental station positioning
  • Monitoring by proximity sensors

Design:

Wheelset rolling rig

Design:

 

  • Framework structure with integrated machinery for elevated tracks and pits.

 

Function:

 

  • To rotate the wheelsets in test and work stands.

 

Technology:

 

  • The wheelsets are trapped, lowered and ejected hydraulically.
  • They are rotated with a geared motor.

Wheelset lifting and rolling rig

Function:

  • The wheelset is trapped, lifted, lowered and ejected hydraulically.
  • It is rotated with a frequency-controlled geared motor.

 

Designs:

 

  • With roll-forward and roll-back lock and hydraulic ejection.
  • Without roll-forward and roll-back lock and hydraulic ejection.

 

 

 

Wheelset storage

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, depots in Eberswalde, Delitzsch, Wittenberge
Design: Elevated or in foundation pit.

 

 

   

 

Function:

 

  • To automatically transport and store wheelsets with or without fittings and gears and any number of brake disks.

 

Technology:

 

  • Load capacity of 2 / 4 t
  • 1,400 mm or 1,250 mm long; 1,900 mm wide; 200 mm high ,
  • Automatic trapping and ejection
  • Hydraulic ejection
  • Can be supplied with any number of storage places.
  • Can be supplied as a double-stack storage with lifts

Turntable for driving wheelsets

Location: DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH, depots in Paderborn, Eberswalde, Wittenberge

 

       

 

Design:

 

  • Frame structure with integrated machinery.
  • For installation in a foundation pit or elevated track.
  • Turntable with slewing ring and machinery integrated in the base frame.

 

Function:

 

  • To turn (change of direction) driving wheelsets in the wheelset workshop.
  • To trap and eject the wheelsets hydraulically (roll-forward and roll-back lock).
  • To rotate wheelsets with a frequency-controlled geared motor.
  • To prevent steel hitting steel.

Function:

  • The bogie is fixed automatically as soon as it enters the turntable and locked mechanically by hand after turning.

 

Wheelset lifting turntable

Location: Deutsche Bahn AG, depot in Krefeld

 

   

 

Design:

 

  • Lifting device in foundation pit.
  • Turntable at foundation level.

 

Function:

 

  • To turn (change of direction) and lift wheelsets with or without gears and any number of brake disks.

 

Technology:

 

  • Load capacity of 4 t
  • Structural height of approx. 300 mm
  • Lifting height of 300 mm
  • A brake that is applied to the wheel rim face locks the wheelset in position
  • Automatic trapping and ejection
  • Turning to and ejection at 0° and 180°
  • Ejection to the front and back
  • Driving wheelsets with gears can enter and leave the turntable from both sides.

Design:

 

  • Turntable with integrated rolling rig that is mounted on a lifting device.

 

Function:

 

  • To rotate wheelsets and bring them in any position required for painting in a painting facility.

 

Technology:

 

  • Load capacity of approx.
  • Structural height of approx. 1,000 mm
  • The wheelsets are trapped and ejected automatically.
  • The wheelsets are positioned and rotated from the control panel.
  • The turntable is driven electrically and lifted hydraulically.
  • The machine is explosion-proof.

  • To be used in work stands for wheelsets with European standard gauge and Russian wide gauge

 

Technology:

  • The wheelset enters the turntable up to a roll-forward lock via a roll-back lock.
  • The wheelsets are forwarded hydraulically.
  • The wheelsets are fixed with brake shoes that are applied to the face of the wheel flange hydraulically.
  • The gauge is adjusted hydraulically after a sensor has checked and recognised the wheelset.

 

 

 

 

Continuous wheelset conveyor

  • For installation in an elevated track or a foundation pit
  • Segmental design of the conveyor line

 

Function:

 

  • To transport wheelsets continuously

 

Technology:

  • Conveying distance of up to approx. 50 m as required
  • (Limited) adjustment of conveying speed
  • Separate storage locations with monitored wheelset entry and exit
  • Separate storage locations with pneumatically-operated forwarding mechanism
  • Separate storage locations with roll-forward and roll-back lock

Elevated conveyor line comprising:

  • Crane or stacking truck charging of the wheelsets in the paint booth that contains four pneumatically-operated storage locations
  • rack sections with automatic track masking and a lifting and rolling rig in the paint booth
  • Continuous conveyor as well as transfer and take-over storage locations inside the drying booth
  • Wheelset conveyor line with 13 pneumatically-operated storage locations and railing outside the drying booth
  • Working platform with two lifting and rolling rigs and two pneumatically-operated storage locations in between
  • Discharge conveyor line with ten pneumatically-operated storage locations, railing and two monitored access doors to discharge and charge wheelsets

 

Function:

 

  • To transport wheelsets continuously via different transport units with integrated work places

Function

 

  • To discharge and forward cylindrical roller bearings from the press

 

Technology:

  • The cylindrical roller bearings are guided until placed on the plastic belt and bearings that lay on top of each other are separated.
  • The position and occupied state are detected by sensors.
  • The belt speed can be adjusted.

Wheelset turntable for trailing wheelsets RS DS A (F) – 2500

Design:

 

  • Base frame, slewing ring and turntable with integrated machinery
  • A fixation (F) can be installed in the turntable on request
  • For installation in a foundation pit, in a track at ground level or an elevated track

 

Function:

  • Without fixation: to change the running direction at rail crossings
  • With fixation: on work stands

 

Technology:

  • The wheelset enters the turntable up to a roll-forward lock via a roll-back lock.
  • The wheelsets are forwarded hydraulically.
  • The wheelsets are fixed with brake shoes that are applied to the face of the wheel flange hydraulically.
  • The wheelset can be rotated by more than 360° with an absolute encoder.
  • Acceleration / deceleration during rotation by a frequency-controlled geared motor.
